The purpose of this section of the website is to explain the proposed new NEC Constitution, so that as many questions as possible can be answered before the NEC Session in 2024.

The proposed new NEC Constitution was first approved by the NEC Executive Committee on 11 August 2021. It was shared with the NEC Session delegates and with the wider public via the NEC and BUC websites, prior to the NEC Session. However, at the Session itself, a number of questions were asked and it was felt that there was not sufficient time to answer those questions. The proposed new constitution was therefore tabled until tne next session, to allow questions to be asked and any necessary changes made.
